Cookie Policy

Document Version: July 13, 2026  |  nipanu-zajabu.info

This Cookie Policy provides a technical explanation of how nipanu-zajabu.info uses cookies and similar tracking technologies. It explains what these technologies are, why we use them, and the controls available to you. This policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.

What Is a Cookie, Technically Speaking

HTTP Cookie: A cookie is a small piece of data — typically a text string — that a web server sends to your browser, which then stores it locally on your device. On subsequent requests to the same server, the browser sends the cookie back, allowing the server to recognize your session or preferences. Cookies operate within the HTTP protocol and are governed by RFC 6265 (the IETF standard for cookies).

Technical Definition: HTTP Cookie

An HTTP cookie consists of a name-value pair plus optional attributes including Domain, Path, Expires/Max-Age, Secure, HttpOnly, and SameSite. The Domain attribute determines which hosts can receive the cookie. The Secure flag ensures the cookie is only sent over HTTPS connections. The HttpOnly flag prevents JavaScript from accessing the cookie, reducing XSS attack surface. The SameSite attribute controls cross-site request behavior.

Session Cookie: A session cookie has no expiration date set and is deleted automatically when you close your browser. Session cookies are used to maintain state during a single browsing session — for example, keeping you logged in as you navigate between pages.

Technical Definition: Session Cookie

A session cookie exists only in temporary memory while the user navigates a website. Unlike persistent cookies, session cookies are erased when the user closes the web browser. They are identified by the absence of an Expires or Max-Age attribute in the Set-Cookie header. Session cookies are commonly used for shopping cart functionality, form state, and temporary authentication tokens.

Persistent Cookie: A persistent cookie has a specified expiration date and remains on your device until that date or until you manually delete it. Persistent cookies are used to remember your preferences across multiple visits to a website.

Technical Definition: Persistent Cookie

A persistent cookie is stored on the user's hard drive and remains there until it expires (as specified in the Expires or Max-Age attribute) or is deleted by the user. The maximum recommended lifetime for persistent cookies under most privacy frameworks is 13 months, though technical limits allow longer durations. Persistent cookies are commonly used for remembering login preferences, language settings, and consent choices.

Cookie Categories Used on This Site

Category 1: Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cookies are required for the website to function and cannot be switched off in our systems. They are typically set in response to actions you take that amount to a request for services, such as setting your privacy preferences or completing a contact form. They do not store any personally identifiable information beyond what is technically necessary for the session.

Cookie NamePurposeDuration
nzi_consentStores your cookie consent preferences12 months
PHPSESSID (if applicable)Maintains your session stateSession

The cookie named nzi_consent is our site-specific consent cookie. It stores your cookie preference choices so you are not asked again on each page visit. It contains no personal information — only a record of which categories you have consented to.

Category 2: Analytics Cookies

Analytics Cookie: Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors interact with our website by collecting and reporting information anonymously. This information helps us improve the website's structure, content, and performance. Analytics cookies are only set if you provide consent through our cookie preference tool.

Technical Definition: Analytics Cookie

Analytics cookies track metrics such as pages visited, time on site, bounce rate, traffic sources, and click paths. Data is typically aggregated and anonymized before analysis. Common analytics platforms use first-party cookies (set by our domain) or third-party cookies (set by the analytics service's domain). If third-party analytics cookies are used, data may be transmitted to servers outside your jurisdiction.

If analytics are enabled on this site, we use tools that collect data such as pages visited, time spent on each page, the device and browser used, and the general geographic region of the visitor. This data is aggregated and does not identify individual visitors by name or contact information.

Category 3: Marketing and Advertising Cookies

Marketing Cookie: Marketing cookies are used to track visitors across websites for the purpose of displaying relevant advertisements. They are set by advertising networks with the website operator's permission. These cookies build a profile of your interests and may be shared with other organizations.

Technical Definition: Marketing Cookie

Marketing cookies, also called targeting or advertising cookies, work by uniquely identifying your browser and device. They enable advertisers to show you ads that are more relevant to your interests, limit the number of times you see an ad, and measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns. These cookies may be set by third-party ad networks and involve cross-site tracking. Under CCPA/CPRA, sharing data with advertising networks for cross-context behavioral advertising may constitute a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information.

Marketing cookies on this site, if enabled, may be used in connection with advertising platforms to deliver content relevant to visitors who have previously visited our site. You can opt out of these cookies at any time using our cookie preference tool without affecting your ability to use the site.

Similar Technologies

In addition to cookies, we may use similar technologies including:

Web Beacons (Pixel Tags): Small transparent images embedded in web pages or emails that allow us to track whether a page was accessed or an email was opened. Web beacons are typically used in conjunction with cookies.

Local Storage: A browser feature that allows websites to store data locally on your device without expiration. Unlike cookies, local storage data is not automatically sent to the server with each request. We may use local storage for storing non-sensitive preference data.

Session Storage: Similar to local storage but cleared when the browser tab is closed. Used for temporary state management within a single browsing session.

Managing Your Cookie Preferences

You can manage your cookie preferences in several ways:

Our Cookie Preference Tool: Click "Settings" in the cookie consent card that appears at the bottom of the page to access our preference panel. You can enable or disable analytics and marketing cookies at any time. Your preferences are stored in the nzi_consent cookie.

Browser Settings: Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking all cookies may affect the functionality of this and other websites. Refer to your browser's help documentation for specific instructions.

Opt-Out Tools: For analytics and advertising cookies set by third-party services, you may be able to opt out directly through those services' opt-out mechanisms or through industry tools such as the Network Advertising Initiative (NAI) opt-out tool at optout.networkadvertising.org.

Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. Because there is no consistent industry standard for how to respond to DNT signals, our website does not currently alter its behavior in response to DNT signals. We will update this policy if and when a standard approach is adopted.

Cross-Border Data Transfers

If third-party analytics or advertising services place cookies on our site, data collected through those cookies may be transmitted to and processed in countries other than the United States. Where such transfers occur, we rely on the service provider's data processing agreements and applicable data transfer mechanisms to ensure appropriate protections are in place.

Updates to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy as we add or remove technologies, as legal requirements change, or as our practices evolve. The version date at the top of this document reflects the most recent revision. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
